The
obvious improvement in contour is seen on the back and
lateral views. Again, the problem is a muscular
stretching and separation causing abdominal laxity after
having children.
In patients with minimal skin excess, but abdominal wall
laxity, a small vertical scar is necessary to close the
umbilical hole. This scar is early and immature, but the
contour improvement can be seen clearly with an
excellent result as early as 4 months.
Again, these scars will fade with time.
