Very
difficult eyelid patient with significant lower lid bags
and excess upper eyelid skin, muscle, and fat. These
have been restored. I include this photo to show that,
although not perfect, great improvement with very
natural and youthful eyelids has been achieved. The
patient was greatly satisfied in that the shape of her
eyes has been maintained. The lower blepharoplasty is
the most problematic procedure on the face, and caution
must be maintained by not taking out too much skin. A
very important point to realize is that if every single
wrinkle is eliminated in the lower eyelid then a
“pulling down”, “operated” look is highly likely. The
goal is for wrinkle improvement with excellent contour
enhancement and a smoothing effect as shown here.
