On
frontal view the results from the abdominal
liposuction are tremendous. One possible negative
trade-off is the slight laxity of skin in the upper
abdomen. This is discussed with the patient at length
pre operatively. The upper abdomen used to be an area
that was strictly "taboo" for liposuction because of
irregularities. These deformities are minimized by
ultrasound, but the results, as you can see on lateral
view, are outstanding. This patient was extremely
pleased, as we had discussed all these potential
downsides preoperatively. If the patient is concerned
about mild irregularities in this region, then we simply
have to avoid the upper abdomen or be much less
aggressive. Again, this is discussed preoperatively and
individualized with each patient. |
